John Deere Tractor Won't Crank - maint

Battery is good and lights are bright when on.

1) spray a short.

If “jumped the starter”.

Remove the small gauge single wire from the starters solenoid.

Everything was working fine until i got off the seat and the tractor shut off.

Try engaging the starter manually.

Take a jumper wire and connect the terminal to the positive.

Went to start it and get nothing but a loud click at back right of engine.

With key on, when i jump from battery + to starter.
